Mike Wallis was first elected to Erewash Borough Council as Ward Member for Sandiacre North in 2003.
He was elected Deputy Mayor in 2004 and served as Mayor of the Borough from 2005/2007.
He is Lead Member for Culture and Leisure Services, Community Safety Partnership and Emergency Planning.
He is now Ward Member for Ockbrook and Borrowash, being elected in 2007 and reelected in 2011.
Mike was Chairman of Ockbrook and Borrowash Parish Council between 2007 and 2013. He has recently been involved with the re-opening of the Youth Club at Ashbrook Community Centre in Borrowash.
A former Chairman of Long Eaton Twinning Assn. he is now President of Draycott and Long Eaton Table Tennis Club.

Jeff Owens has served on the Parish Council since 2007, where he is currently chair of the planning committee, and has lived in the parish since 1989 with his wife Sheila, a nurse with the NHS. They live in Ockbrook and have two children who attended a local primary school. Jeff works as a Sales Manager for Alliance Boots and is a member of Swarkestone Sailing Club.
Jeff is keen to ensure the Parish Council supports all local residents.
Amanda Sloway has been a resident in Borrowash for over 7 years and is an enthusiastic member of the community, taking full of advantage of the facilities offered within the village. Amanda is a Management Consultant specialising in behavioural development, having worked within HR for 20 yrs across the Not for Profit and Private Sector.
Firmly committed to the Big Society Amanda is a volunteer with the Princes Trust, Girl Guiding organisation, milliontreesderbyshire and an LA governor.
Amanda is married with two grown children, Amanda is proud to live in Borrowash and wants everyone to share this pride in her local community.
Born and raised in Draycott and has been resident in Borrowash for 12 years. He is married to Linda, who manages a home care company that covers the Erewash district, they have five children and 7 grandchildren. He has spent over 40 years in the IT industry working all over the world. He is currently working part time as an IT consultant and also as a Motorcycle Riding instructor (basic through to advanced). “This keeps me in touch with the younger generation.”
John is happy to get involved with, and give something back to, the local community.
A Borrowash resident for over 20 years and is married and father of four children. He is the proprietor of his own health and safety consultancy business.
Michael takes seriously his role in the local community and will bring a committed, practical approach in representing all the residents of the Parish.
